Running in your first trimester

If it feels good to run, go for it! Running can help with energy levels and stress reduction among other benefits!

Due to hormonal changes, it is normal to feel like you have to pee more often. You may also find that you are more fatigued or short of breath on your runs.

There is a hormone called Relaxin that peaks in your system around 12 weeks. This hormone causes your pelvic joints to become more mobile so if you are experiencing pain in your low back or buttock, check with a Pelvic PT. Targeted strengthening and manual therapy helps!
