Stretch tight shoulders to improve rib position

Posture Tip: Release your shoulders from your ribcage.

Do you ever notice that when you try to stand up straight and get your shoulders back, your chest juts out and ribcage tips up?

Your shoulders are tight.

When your ribcage is tipped up, it makes it a lot harder for the core muscles to work and puts increased stress on your low back muscles.

How to stretch and release your shoulders from your ribcage:
➡️Stand in a doorway, if you can reach the top, use both hands. If not, stretch one arm at a time.
➡️Drop your ribs so they are stacked above your pelvis.
➡️You should feel a stretch in the front of your shoulders and chest.
➡️Hold for about a minute.

✨For as often as we sit and work on a computer or hold a phone, you literally can’t do this stretch too much:)
